It was a Sunday afternoon. Just had lunch with my two kids, Andre and Kyra, while Gina was having some retail therapy in the city. Noticed I still had my tripod in the car as well as my Leica Delux6 when the creative bug bit me.
Have been working on a concept of multiple repetitive subjects within the one still frame to express the passing of time. By having the same subject appear in multiple places within the one landscape I’m trying to draw more attention to the landscapes we pass each day that we may overlook.
Needed the tripod so that the landscape background would always be constant, as the individuals dotted in different places within the landscape would be merged within Photoshop.
Yes I had to bribe Andre and Kyra with a trip to the rocket ship park but after an hour of running around, jumping, and a few treats, I got the following images. Gave me a few ideas that I’m going to apply to my next wedding. I try and dedicate time to my personal work to free up my imagination and discover new possibilities, or so I hope.
Couldn’t help but add the refection and chair photo of Kyra but that’s the next project.
