Alison & Owen’s Fenix wedding went a little something like this…
Perfect cloudy day for photography when I arrived at the Hotel Lindrum. Heading up to their honeymoon suite, I bumped into Alison’s parents Peter & Jocelyn, in the corridor. We found Alison with her arms wrapped around Owen, as the excitement of the day was building. With their last kiss before becoming husband and wife, mum and dad swept her back down the corridor, toward the bridal suite, where her amazing dress and red shoes lay waiting
To my great excitement Alison had booked a suite with grand arch bay windows just for her getting ready photos. Mum helped Alison get into her stunning dress and had to use her knee, at one point, to tighten up the laces.
Back at Fenix, Owen was in good hands with their celebrant Koren Harvey calming any nerves he was having. During the ceremony there was plenty of tears as wedding vows were exchanges followed by laughter as they scrambled to find tissues. Thankfully Owen came prepared.
Alison and Owen have very big hearts. During the lunchtime reception, they took very good care of their guests needs by booking a private Fenix room and hiring a clown to entertain all the children. The respective parents loved this idea as they enjoyed the afternoons fine food, wine and speeches.
We decided to head down to Melbourne Theatre Company for some contemporary artist location photos and then photographed our way towards Federation Square for the after party celebrations. No clown needed here.
