The vertigo of it skyscrapers, the catacombs of the subway system, its people who have infused their many different cultures in all its burrows, and that even after walking for hours, exploring its avenues, listening to the symphonies of police sirens, taxis beeping, the locals talking you are still driven to want more and more. This is why Gina and I are in love with New York City. Its a mecca for photographers strewed with eclectic photo gallery like Soho Photo and the home of Magnum Agency and the International Centre of Photography
We had first visited New York together in 2001 when we photographed the streets with our Nikon F4 and a bag filled with copious amounts of Black & White film. We retuned in 2010 with our digital gear and our little addition, Andre, who celebrated his 3rd birthday in the big apple with a quintessential Magnolia Cupcake and a trip the Central Park Zoo.
Will post a series of our images on the blog but for the mean time please enjoy some of our favourites.
