Min Wen & Timothy | The Hotel Windsor Wedding

April 3rd, 2010
Tweet

The city views from the Eureka Towers apartments were amazing as Timothy got ready. Chinese tradition has it that the groom offers the father of the bride a suckling pig, upon arriving at their home, but it seemed Timothy had something a little different installed.

Most of my brides know that I have a thing for bridal shoes. Min Wen blew me off my feet with her Chanel silver snakeskin and black satin, diamond camellia with pearl center shoes. Her stunning dress by the House of Moshe complimented her shoes perfectly or was that meant to be the other way around.  Told you I have a thing for shoes, next to my craving for cupcakes, but more on that later.  Julie Dammery from Beautique Creative  was amazing with the girls makeup.

Back to the suckling pig. Min Wen’s dad waited at the front door as Timothy walked up the stairs with his offering for her hand in marriage. The look of joy on his face was priceless when Timothy presented him with a giant pink Toy Pig.  The wedding was held in the Grand Ball Room at The Hotel Windsor followed by the tea ceremony in the Bourke Room.  I was so tempted to pinch one of the devine cupcakes that Min Wen made for their wedding cake, but held myself back.  Needless to say I was blessed when she came to pick up her wedding album and presented me with a dozen of her delicious cupcakes as a thank you gift.

    Hi Chris,

It is really amazing how you’ve managed to remember so much from every event and then take the time to collate it all so well in this wonderful blog 🙂

We were privileged to have found you for the photography of our wedding. Not only were you extremely proficient professionally, but we thought it was this combined with the fantastic personal attitudes which makes you an exceptional photographer. You have an eye for detail, impeccable organisational skills, and the uncompromising focus that allowed for the capture of every precious moment, no matter how unexpected and fleeting. Your energetic and vitalising presence made the eventful day pass ever so pleasantly and effortlessly.

We wish you all the success in your future. You should know that when we and our families flip through the photos of that special day, we will remember every emotion with the clarity and depth like it happened yesterday. I’m certain every client you have helped capture that special occasion has a similar story to tell, and I hope you will continue to enable more people to create such vivid memories of their life’s most dearest moments.

    Tim and Wen
