There are times I get requests that make me disco dance around the studio and this was one of them.

Kristine had contacted me wanting to book in a Trash the Dress session a week after their wedding.  Starting at her property at Mount Cottrell with her horses against the distant hills, a vintage truck, rustic farm shed with hay bails, and a construction digger thrown in for good measures.

Then the icing on the cake came when Kristine requested we also go to Torquay beach as that’s where she grew up.  …“Yep, not a problem, I’m there with bells on”… My mind was flooded with ideas as I noted them into my visual diary.

With such picturesque landscapes, stunning lighting, especially at Torquay in the late afternoon and one incredible bride, I went a little crazy and in a few images was joining Kristine in the cold seawater.  Friends still hold it over my head that I stood, waist deep, in saltwater, with $10,000 worth of photographic equipment, but you go to extremes to get the images you love.
